This dock adds push buttons, buzzer, servo control, analog input voltage from a potentiometer, IR transceiver, I2C LCD interface, SD card interface plus prototyping area to your BBC Micro:bit and provides easy access to its I/O's. The peripherals are compatible and supported by the micro:bit libraries. Sound, servo and analog inputs work with the functions available in the online micro:bit programming environment. The dock has its own voltage regulator so that it won’t load the micro:bit batteries. It is possible to power the micro:bit from the dock by placing a jumper (not provided). The optional I2C LCD is not furnished. It is mainly useful for advanced programmers or those who want to become advanced programmers.
