LoRaWAN has developed excellently as a communication solution in the IoT. The Things Network (TTN) has contributed to this. The Things Network was upgraded to The Things Stack Community Edition (TTS (CE)). The TTN V2 clusters were closed towards the end of 2021.

This book shows you the necessary steps to operate LoRaWAN nodes using TTS (CE) and maybe extend the network of gateways with an own gateway. Meanwhile, there are even LoRaWAN gateways suitable for mobile use with which you can connect to the TTN server via your cell phone.

The author presents several commercial LoRaWAN nodes and new, low-cost and battery-powered hardware for building autonomous LoRaWAN nodes. Registering LoRaWAN nodes and gateways in the TTS (CE), providing the collected data via MQTT and visualization via Node-RED, Cayenne, Thingspeak, and Datacake enable complex IoT projects and completely new applications at very low cost.

This book will enable you to provide and visualize data collected with battery-powered sensors (LoRaWAN nodes) wirelessly on the Internet.     Good intro to LoRaWAN!

    There is no doubt this is a good introduction to LoRa and LoRaWAN, and it covers a lot of the details of the protocol, it has several code snippets and refers to the author's github repository. It may require frequent update and new editions: for example the board Arduino MKR WAN 1300 is already replaced by the MKR WAN 1310.

    Other than that, I recommend it to anyone wanting to start with LoRa and LoRaWAN!

    Prima boek over het onderwerp

    Prima boek over het onderwerp met een goede omschrijving over het onderwerp. In de eerste 84 blz van het boek wordt de theorie besproken van alles tot en met de nodes en de nodes worden in de rest van het boek besproken. De nodes zijn standaard in de handel te krijgen nodes en nodes op arduino basis al met al een goed te lezen engels boek.

    Note : Ik heb het boek doorgelezen maar niet alle Nodes getest dus kan natuurlijk geen oordeel over alle programma`s schrijven.
