I have only just started reading this book and I am already extremely impressed by it's easy to understand presentation and the depth of coverage of it's contents.
In some 470 or so pages, Mr. Zoran M. Dukic, an obvious expert on the subject with many years of professional experience, has comprehensively presented detailed information on the subject in a logically laid out format. Seemingly like a patient teacher, Mr. Dukic starts by introducing the reader to some fundamental topics covering logarithmic scales, etc., practical information on sound pressure & required audio power, electronic components such as resistors, capacitors, etc., all the while combining useful and interesting information on the selection and application of these components. Thereafter, the book progresses rapidly onto complex subjects such the mathematical representation of vacuum tubes and their implementation in different types of circuits, followed by an extremely detailed chapter on transformers. The very important subject of power supplies is also discussed in great detail along with up-to-date information on specialist regulation techniques using modern solid state devices such as BJTs, ICs, etc. What strikes me most about this book is how well complex subjects have been made covered by making them much more simple to understand. I already possess several books on vacuum tube amplifiers (including a well known 4-volume series and earlier well regarded books by reputed authors); however, this particular book, appropriately named "A Tool box for Audio Lovers & Engineers" is, by some measure, the most up-to-date, comprehensive and well written book that I have come across. I am extremely pleased with my purchase and I would like to profusely thank Mr. Zoran M. Dukic for his painstaking efforts in sharing his vast knowledge on the subject through this wonderful publication. Highly recommended !
