Getreu der Philosophie des „Learning by Doing“ können sich auch ambitionierte, nichtprofessionelle Anwender mit dem Lernmaterial des Buches einen Überblick über den neuesten Stand der Robotertechnik und KI verschaffen. Für praktische Anwendungen können sowohl komplette Bausätze als auch einzelne Komponenten verwendet werden. Dabei wurde stets darauf geachtet, dass die Hardware möglichst universell einsetzbar ist.
